Where To Start...

Here lies my attempt to eat better, exercise more and live healthier. I am that girl who spends her weekend eating {and drinking} badly, swearing to myself that I will do better starting Monday and then going back to my old ways by Thursday, ok Tuesday {if I'm going to do this, I need to be honest with myself}.

I've always heard that you need to journal what you eat each day {EVERYTHING you eat each day....you can't leave out that handful of mini Twix you quickly shoveled in your mouth & wish you could forget} or you won't hold yourself accountable and make change, so that's what I'm doing here, as well as documenting my exercise and overall healthy habits.

Why am I doing this, you may ask?  I recently had a gorgeous baby boy {so as you can imagine my body isn't what it used to be}...and prior to that I simply had started getting older {so as you can imagine my body wasn't what it used to be} and I miss it....dearly. Most recently, I have a smooshy stomach {completely worth it, but still not cool}, my inner thighs seem to have gotten considerably larger and my arms are flabbier. I gained 19 lbs with little man and while that isn't a huge amount overall, its still a big change to your body.  I used to be part of that group of people who didn't have to work hard to have a reasonably decent body {trust me all you young 'uns, it does change}, but once I got to twenty-five or so, I started to see my body change and since I didn't change my bad habits its progressively gotten worse.

So...I've made a pact with myself that I'm going to start working on my fitness and get my body back into tiptop shape.  Let's do this!
