Here is a bit about me:
- I
lovelike running outdoors and I despise the treadmill that has taken up residence in my basement. What this means...the weather needs to improve so I can keep up with my cardio plans. - I really enjoy eating and I've already decided I'm going to need cheat days to make this work. I'm planning on one cheat day a week where I can eat what I want...within reason {I know...I'm already predicting I will fail, but I know me and I can't quit cold turkey}. Most often on these cheat days you will find me eating a La Mesa chicken chimichanga, some form of Italian food, munching on some cheese or bread or enjoying a big vat of movie theater popcorn...to name a few.
- One of my favorite things to do is unwind with a glass of wine after work...however since I assume they mean an actual serving of wine {generally 1-2oz}, then my wine glass that holds almost a bottle of wine doesn't count and will only add unncessary calories. Because of this, I will no longer be having a glass of wine after work during the week. This will be hard.
- And because of the above, I've decided that I'm not giving up Diet Mt. Dew right away. I had been relatively good during my pregnancy and refrained from too much caffeine. Once I had little man, though, it seems I felt I needed to make up for the previous nine months. During my maternity leave, it was nothing for me to drink a 32oz Diet Mt. Dew and then have a can later in the day. I needed caffeine to operate because I've never been a good napper. It's due to this that I will not be giving it up right away - with my new sleep schedule mixed with getting up in the mornings by 6am {more often earlier}and trying to work out more, caffeine will be a must.
- I really wish I had a workout buddy. Without, I get very bored and never seem to push myself as hard as I should. BUT it's hard to find a workout buddy when you can't nail down a time to work out each day due to having a new baby. I see this changing once our little guy hits 3 months and I can bring him to the gym's kid area. As much as I don't want to waste any minutes I get to spend with my little man, having time to myself and being able to take care of myself is extremely important.
- I'm not looking to lose a bunch of weight here but I still have a few post preggo pounds to shed...give or take 3lbs. I want to tone up and get back into running mode {no more sideaches and getting winded after a couple miles}.
